Many of my subjects are kids and I get asked by parents and visitors,
Why horror?
Why can’t we just make pretty headshots and pictures?
Why shoot horror?
Well the answer is: It is huge business, it is stable, and has tons of fans.
Sonya Chudgar states:
It’s a frighteningly big business: The appeal of evil drives the $500 million haunted-attraction industry and $400 million at the box office for horror films each year. With spooky storytelling on TV, zombie obstacle courses and theme-park sponsors, the horror industry shows little sign of slithering away.

To have head shots and portfolio images that cater specifically to the horror genre is good business sense.
Horror does help attract followers and fans who cherish horror related themes and subjects.
It is good in the entertainment industry to have something in your portfolio that is “Shocking”.
You want something that will “Entertain” casting people so that you stand out, and they will remember you. Horror is a pretty good “Shocker”.

The Driver’s Horror Sessions are creative, easygoing, and stress-free. These are not meant to be pretty. These have been very effective for a lot of our actors to get noticed. The goal is to get 15 or more horror images. Restrictions: Due to the nature of Horror and our costume sizes we would not recommend these sessions for kids under 4 If you have any special requests or looks. |
